Sorry Reports

Speed — The 1st issue of the Sorry Report is a catalogue for the non-exhibition of the non-existent museum of accidents. It displays important accidents as the defining objects in our history of accelerated progress. It is a tribute to the grand theorist Paul Virilio whose urgent call for such a museum of accidents has still not been materialized. We revisited his concepts selectively and curated the show as a testamentary. May he race in peace. 🔗🔗🔗

Ignorance — The 2nd issue of the Sorry Report is a panoramic view on epidemic ignorance that shapes our lives in the information age. Cases studies include EU Skepticism, Smoking, Speed Limit Controversy in Germany, Gun Control in the US, Populism. Brexit, Climate Change, Racism, Vaccination, Alternative Facts, and Love. Remember Karl Popper — "True ignorance is not the absence of knowledge, but the refusal to acquire it." 🔗🔗🔗

Irreligion — The third report is a deep conversation between two unlike actors. Based on the principles of the surrealist technique cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse), the first actor sets topic and tone, and the second one finishes his statement or answers his question subsequentially. Of course, the binary cut-ups are about the essence of life only. 🔗🔗🔗

Kyiv — This Special Report are reissued texts that were first published in the last Village Voice edition of Munich’s Superpaper (07/2018). Different times: No pandemic in sight, Putin was a popular motif for topless calendars, and war — despite Crimea and Donbas — felt far away. On the contrary, it seemed as if an unexpected energy was about to break through in Kyiv. After Euromaidan and the fighting of 2014/15, Kyiv was suddenly a vibrant metropolis and place of freedom for a new generation, not only in Ukraine but for the whole post-Soviet space. 🔗🔗🔗

Smorfia - The 5th Sorry Report is a dream based system used to derive numbers for playing the lottery. Originally transmitted orally and later transcribed on paper, it provides a precise coding system to transform words, events, people, or objects from dreams—considered means of divine communication—into one or more numbers. 🔗🔗🔗
